HALF 1: 00:00-48:00
Analysis
That goalkeeper-less goal was unprecented.
MSJ note: the live observation above records uncertainty around the final whistle. Later external reporting stated the SPFL confirmed the match ended and was not abandoned.
UPDATE: AUGUST 9, 2026: Upon further inspection of the IFAB regulations, they specify a physical indication must be made to signal the end. This is reinforced in both their glossary and the refereeing handbook. Furthermore, the laws themselves favour the wording "Whistle" and virtually all official glossarys repeat this word. The indication Don Robertson gave to officials was ambigious to every party on the field (even if this wasnt a IFAB violation). Hate to dig up old shit, but I conclude this unresolved again until I can take to SPFL and SFA what overwhelming consenus says.
